Create and Send Newsletter

Create Newsletter

  1. Access the administrator interface (back end)
  2. Click on Components >> Acajoom >> Newsletters
  3. In the upper right-hand corner click on the Select a list filter (drop-down) and select the mailing you'd like to create a newsletter for
  4. Also in the upper right-hand corner click on the New icon
  5. Enter the Subject
  6. On the right-hand side on the Description tab select "Yes" for both Published and Visible in Front End fields
  7. Adjust the Sender information if desired (hover over the field titles to get a quick help for each field)
  8. Place the cursor into the body of the newsletter and enter the content

Insert Site Content Into Newsletter

  1. Place the cursor in the newsletter where you'd like to include an article already published on the site
  2. On the right-hand side click on the Content tab
  3. Scroll through the list of available articles and highlight the one you'd like to include
  4. At the top of the tab select whether you'd like to insert only the title or the intro (portion of the article before the Read More button) or the entire article
  5. Click on the Insert button
  6. The article tag has now been inserted in the newsletter and will be replaced with the article when the newsletter is sent

Insert Customized Information (e.g. Name)

  1. Place the cursor in the newsletter where you'd like to include a custom tag (e.g. name, first name, etc.)
  2. On the right-hand side click on the Tags tab
  3. Copy and paste (or type) the tag(s) you'd like to include
  4. For CB fields visit main menu >> Components >> Community Builder >> Field Management to find out the precise field name


Formatting Best Practice: Please use formatting sporadically to provide for consistent user experience. Try to limit your formatting to bold or italicised. For headings select Heading 2 or Heading 3 from the Paragraph or Format (depending on the HTML used on your site).
